This five day workshop is based on suspended soffit framing. The major focus will be on job planning, layout and creation of templates, components and materials, and the assembly and installation of soffits. The biggest advantage of using these products is they can be suspended from the structure using hanger wire, thereby increasing productivity. Stick built and modular suspended soffits will be fabricated using various drywall grid components. These components include 2, 4 and 6 foot cross tees, heavy-duty main beams, locking angle molding, strong backs and Quickstik® components. In addition, the Panelmax® drywall milling machine will be demonstrated to show it’s compatibility with suspended soffit framing.
