PREREQUISITE(S): 

  • Must complete Equipment Verification Form upon registration.
  • Must have a Commercial Diving Certification and/or Commercial Diving Diploma entered in TRAIN.

This 2-day course covers the use of:


  • Kirby Morgan Operational Check lists A2.1 through A2.6,
  • Helmet and band mask annual overhaul procedures,
  • How to properly log maintenance and repairs, 
  • Cleaning and sanitizing,
  • Face Port Insert inspection and testing,
  • Monthly helmet inspection procedure, 
  • Daily pre/post dive procedures, 
  • Supervisor pre-dive inspections,
  • Supervisor in water checks, 
  • EGS interface procedures and configurations,
  • Calculation of proper supply pressure and volume requirements.

 

The course instructs personnel how to correctly overhaul the demand regulator side block and all associated Helmet and Band mask components, and also teaches what repairs should only be accomplished by dealers or those with specialized training. This course was set up to enable divers to inspect, maintain, annually overhaul, and perform most repairs using the manufacturers' recommended procedures and guidelines.

 

Please bring the following supplies to the workshop: 


  • Attendees are required to bring their own hat to the training session. (Only serviceable hats will be accepted. The instructor reserves the right to deem whether or not a hat is serviceable.)
  • Please bring work clothes, gloves, and work boots to the workshop.
