This five-day workshop presents theory, layout and installation of suspended drywall ceilings. The new curriculum is from the Advanced Interior Systems manual, Chapter 5 - Drywall ceilings & Chapter 6 - Curved drywall ceilings. In the workshop a Flat ceiling, Segmental Barrel and Groin ceilings will be built using two systems: 1) Drywall Grid, and 2) 1 1/2" Cold Rolled Channel (CRC) and Drywall Channel. The importance of correct layout to the actual construction of the ceiling is a main focus of this workshop. Methods of bending drywall and alternative methods of construction will also be discussed.
Note: This class replaces the old 3 day Barrel ceiling and Groin ceiling TTT classes.
