The Carpenters
International Training Center is your facility. It is designed to
provide the best learning environment possible to help strengthen the
Brotherhood.
Conduct
This building showcases the best of the Brotherhood to the business leaders and government officials who frequently visit. While here, you are representing the UBC and should conduct yourself professionally.
Appropriate dress is required at the Center. While attending workshops, long pants (no shorts), shirts with sleeves, leather shoes (no tennis shoes or sandals) or leather work boots (boots required for all workshops with hands-on training), no torn or wore-out clothing and no clothing with objectionable sayings, are required. When not attending class, a minimum of a shirt, shorts and shoes are required at all times.
Drunk or disorderly behavior, violence or intimidation is cause for removal from the Center.
Illegal drugs (per Federal law) and weapons of any kind are forbidden in any part of the Center.
Outside guests are not allowed in the dorm rooms.
Any property damage caused by residents will be the sole responsibility of the offenders.
Please help us keep the Center clean and fresh for our fellow brothers and sisters who will be attending classes after you leave. Take pride in the Center, and enjoy your stay.
Respect fellow guests by abiding by Quiet Time between 10pm and 8am.
Smoking
The Carpenters International Training Center is a NON-SMOKING FACILITY. There are designated smoking areas throughout the Center. Please use the ashtrays or ash cans that have been provided.
Other Items
This facility is a cash-free environment. Therefore, the Center will not provide cash in exchange for checks, debit cards, or credit cards.
For safety reasons please keep glass containers away from recreational areas.
Please keep dorm room windows closed. They are for emergency use only.
Please refrain from taking food and trays out of the Cafeteria area.
Vending machines are located by the dorm elevators on the first floor of the North Tower.
Complimentary bottled water is available throughout the Center.
Please use the recycling receptacles that have been placed throughout the Center. In an effort to help save our environment, we offer recycling for batteries, paper, cardboard, glass, aluminum and plastic.
CITF Travel Guidelines
The Carpenters International Training Fund (CITF) will arrange and provide air transportation, provide daily room and board, and provide class materials for participants attending CITF workshops in accordance with the following guidelines:
The participant must be registered by an authorized representative of the Coordinating Local Training Fund (CLTF) in a workshop on the CITF Registration Website: https://registration.carpenters.org. The CLTF must ensure the participant is eligible to participate in the workshop and ensure the participant receives a registration confirmation and airline itinerary which includes important information including accommodations, ground transportation, clothing requirements, meals, CITF and Carpenters International Training Center (ITC) rules, etc.
Airfare and dorm
room requests must be submitted on the CITF Registration Website at
least 45 days prior to date of travel. CITF will not book airfare for
travel requests entered within 30 days from travel date. The Local
Training Center and/or attendee will have the option to book their
own airfare.
