This five day workshop will be instructed by Armstrong Representatives and includes classroom, hands-on exercises and written testing. The attending instructors have the opportunity to become Armstrong Certified in two categories, Commercial and Residential Sheet Vinyl. For those who have been previously Armstrong Certified, the workshop will fulfill their refresher requirements.
There will be a comprehensive overview of all the newly introduced flooring materials and adhesive lines with an emphasis on product applications and installation systems. Some other topics that will be covered are substrate evaluation, storage & handling, layout, seam cutting, fitting methods including flash cove, and heat welding.
This workshop is suited for all skill levels of Instructors. Experienced instructors already possessing reasonable proficiency with resilient sheet flooring are candidates for Armstrong Certification or refresher Certification. For Instructors wanting to expand their knowledge base or are new to the craft, this workshop serves as an introduction of the tools, terms, products and necessary installation skills. CITF Instructors will be available for individual hands-on assistance throughout the workshop.
