OSHA 511 General Industry

REGISTER FOR CLASS:At Least 45 Days in Advance


Classes that do not meet the Minimum Attendance Requirements 45 days in advance will be cancelled.


The minimum participants for this course is: 6

PREREQUISITES: 

  • A minimum of 5 years general industry experience is required for this course.
  • Complete and submit OSHA 500-501 Prerequisite Verification Form prior to taking the OSHA 500-501.
  • NEW! Must submit a copy of a federal photo identification card (i.e. Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), military ID, passport, etc.) or government-issued identification card (state driver's license, state-issued identification card, etc.) no later than 45 days prior to attending.

This 4-day course covers OSHA policies, procedures, and standards, as well as construction safety and health principles. Topics include scope and application of the OSHA general industry standards. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. 

The Prerequisite Verification Form must be completed and approved 45 days prior to attending the OSHA 501 workshop. Those forms not approved 45 days prior to the start of the class may result in a person’s cancellation from the workshop. 

Please bring the following supplies to the workshop: 

  • Highlighters (at least 2 colors)
  • self-stick tabs
  • pen
  • Flash Drive (Optional) 

No other special tools required.
