This 5-day course is designed to teach storefront installation, beginning with identification of storefront and curtain wall components, their common uses, and the codes that apply to each. Topics covered will include site inspection, determining safety, equipment, and crew needs, print reading, material delivery, handling, and staging, and how to organize materials for maximum efficiency. The layout, fabrication, installation, and basic glazing and caulking of shop projects will complete the course. This course is a prerequisite for the Curtain Walls and Storefront/Curtain Wall Doors and Hardware Installation courses.
