Course Description

This 5-day course is designed for individuals interested in teaching the 10- and 30-hour construction safety and health Outreach Training Program Courses. Using OSHA Construction Standards as a guide, particular emphasis is placed on those topics required in the 10- and 30-hour programs and those that are most hazardous. In addition, students are taught effective instructional techniques and the use of active learning strategies. This course allows the student to become a trainer in the OSHA Outreach Training Program, to conduct both 10- and 30-hour Construction Outreach classes, and issue cards to participants after verifying course completion. In addition, effective October 2003, this OSHA 500 course includes the requirements for instructors to deliver the Millwright 16 Hour Safety Course.
