This 5 day course i the INSTALL Substrate Preparation Certification TTT. It is designed to qualify instructors to train and certify in their local areas.
It includes a comprehensive overview of industry substrate preparation standards, moisture testing, job site evaluation, underlayment conditions, identification of tools, and equipment use. This course has a strong emphasis on hands-on aspects of ramping, skimming, priming, and self-leveling.
This instructor course is not an "installation how-to". The Instructor participant is required to demonstrate hands-on skills, as well as general trade knowledge, in order to successfully pass the class. Instructors are expected to perform surface and substrate preparation skills to earn certification privileges. At the end of the course, participants must successfully pass the hands on assessment and written test.
