This class was formerly titled I INSTALL Floor Layer Curriculum. Instructor participation in this 5 day course is the recognized avenue to secure the INSTALL floor covering training curriculum for standard, carpet and resilient skills. The designed purpose of the course is to take the trade experienced new Instructor and introduce them to the instruction element. There is an extensive step by step overview of the curriculum components, which include power point presentations, student and instructor manuals.
Guidelines are given for utilizing the curriculum for apprenticeship training as well as journeyman enhancement. Fundamental computer skills training will be provided for viewing of the PowerPoints, involving operation, set up, and digital projector use. The underlying theme of this course is the transition to trainer and addresses creation of lesson plans, time management, testing use, hands-on project design and class preparation.
Communication skills are emphasized for presentation use and student interaction, along with applications for classroom control.
