3-Day Instructor Candidate Program - Mixed District

REGISTER FOR CLASS:At Least 45 Days in Advance

Prerequisite: Must be a Journeyman

The UBC 3-Day Instructor Candidate Program is designed to provide UBC Training Programs in all areas an unbiased evaluation of success potential for possible instructor candidates.  The program will return a uniform recommendation of registered candidates provided through a process that focuses on relational skills, instructional aptitude, leadership and teamwork competencies, effort, and motivation.

Trainers are a cornerstone of the UBC and the development of members.  Trainers model the proficiencies and skills of our varied crafts and serve as mentors to every member they encounter. The immediate goal of the program is to evaluate each participant for the core skills and attitudes that are necessary for him or her to competently work in a staff position at any UBC Training Fund location. The longer-term goal of the program is to create a community of trainers who share a sense of mission and a set of principles dedicated to the continued development of the members and future members of the UBC.

Please contact Chad McDonald at cmcdonald@carpenters.org, if you would like to schedule the program.
