A basic understanding of roof terminology, calculations, and assembly is required.
Utilizes the NEW Training Solutions Curriculum available through the Training Solutions Website: Roof Framing Student Manual #CA001OM & Instructor Guide #CA001OG
This course is intended to teach the basics of unequal-pitch roof framing. It will include the math associated with calculating unequal pitch common, hip, and jack rafters. Construction Master Pro calculators will be used. Shop exercises will include calculating, laying out, and installing rafters for unequal-pitch gable roofs with no overhang, unequal-pitch gable roofs with overhang, unequal-pitch hip roofs with no overhang, and unequal-pitch hip roofs with an overhang. Safety in the shop is stressed.
