Steam Turbine Qualification

The minimum participants for this course is: 14

To meet the training requirements for Steam Turbine work, the Carpenters International Training Fund, in partnership with GE and Atlantic Plant Maintenance, has developed the Steam Turbine Qualification Program. 

Prior to attending this workshop, Members must complete the following prerequisite courses: 

1. Gas Turbine Qualification (Member Training)
   
2. Hytorc Bolting Technician Qualification
   
3. UBC Rigging Qualification
   
4. Millwright 16-Hour Safety Course 

This 5-day training program is delivered with a mixture of classroom instruction and hands-on exercises designed to evaluate the proficiency of the student. Instructors that successfully complete this course are qualified to teach the Steam Turbine Qualification workshop to members. 

Class start/end times for the 5-day class are: 7:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Please bring scientific calculator. Hardhats, safety glasses, hearing protection, and tools will be provided.
